Galorath Releases Enhanced Cost Estimation Software: SEER for Hardware, Electronics & Systems (SEER HW) Version 7.0

SEER HW enables organizations to accurately assess what is known about a project and to model or simulate what is unknown, based on meaningful comparative data.

The new SEER HW suite provides advanced capabilities for projects incorporating integrated circuits, updated and enhanced knowledge bases, and integration to Microsoft Project.  The accuracy of SEER estimates – typically within 10% of actual results – is achieved by combining sophisticated data models and algorithms, with extensive and extensible knowledge bases derived from actual industry experience. SEER HW version 7 incorporates enhanced and updated industry project data (e.g., labor rates) and advanced capabilities for modeling ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) and FPGAs (Field Programmable Gate Arrays). Integration to Microsoft Project enables the generation of detailed project plans directly from a SEER project structure. Interface and architectural enhancements such as knowledge base encapsulation streamline development and modification of project plans and ensures that both new and experienced users can easily access, apply, and modify the solution’s comprehensive feature set and knowledge bases.
