Knowledge bases

SEER Knowledge Bases are key to increasing the accuracy of estimates even in the absence of detailed information. SEER can create custom Knowledge Bases, containing parameter settings that best reflect their specific operating environment. Customization might include appropriate settings for labor rates, personnel experience, product development requirements and other information that can be used to calibrate or "finger print" a SEER model to a specific organization.

Galorath specialists can instruct customers on how to customize Knowledge Bases or perform the customization on their behalf. Knowledge Base Customization Services include the collection of organizational project data (reviewing documents and databases and interviewing internal personnel), comparison of actual project outcomes against standard, "out-of the-box" project outcomes, and developing and "characterizing" the custom Knowledge Bases.

Simulation models

With nearly 20 years of experience developing a wide variety of turnkey modeling solutions, Galorath Incorporated has developed mature project models which can be applied to a wide variety of software, hardware, electronics, systems, and manufacturing projects. As the creators of the premier suite of project estimation and control applications, our development teams are experts on delivering and using project simulation models. In fact, Galorath uses SEER models to cost all its development projects.

While the simulation models that SEER delivers can be used to accurately replicate almost any applicable development project, some organizations require more specialized applications than any off-the-shelf product can deliver. The SEER Services organization offers a Custom Modeling Solutions Program to extend core SEER simulation models to address highly specialized modeling requirements. This is a mature, well-established program with a significant number of high-profile clients and accomplishments.

Reports

All SEER applications are delivered with a rich set of reporting features, both textual and graphic. For organization with unique reporting requirements, SEER applications are structured to support the creation of custom reports and charts. Galorath specialists can instruct customers on how to customize reports or can perform the customization on their behalf.

Integration with Enterprise Applications

SEER applications were designed to work in concert with legacy and 3rd-party enterprise applications. The SEER architecture provides APIs and various methods by which to input data to SEER models as well as output data from SEER models to external applications. SEER applications support a number of product integration technologies, including COM-linking, ODBC, and SQL, as well as an automated, native scripting language that enables the user to construct SEER models in the background without direct user-interface interaction.
