Data Collection & Normalization Briefing 2009
Here is my Data Collection & Normalization training section for the ISPA (International Society of Parametric Analysts) certification at the ISPA SCEA conference in St Louis.  It discusses collection, lessons learned, etc. and includes information from Galorath courses as well as covering the ISPA handbook.
The message is that data collection is important and often poorly executed. Processes and lessons learned to improve are provided. The importance of clear definitions, sanity checks and willingness of those providing data is discussed. And data should be normalized into some common definition so you don’t end up with apples and oranges being combined unknowingly.
Thank you for reading “Dan on Estimating”, if you would like more information about Galorath’s estimation models, please visit our contact page or call us at +1 310 414-3222.
