Comments on: Defense Acquisition Guidebook From DAU

Only source for the document is on the DAU web site that I know of.

I am at DODCAS (DoD Cost Symposium) where the focus is an acquisition reform conference and its cost impacts. I havnt heard that comment here and the slides are not yet available. SLides should be available about March 1, 2010 at http://www.dodcas.org.

I will keep my ear to the ground.

Comment/question:
In the September 2009 Defense Acquisition Guidebook, Section 2.3.16, there were two comments we used and quoted in our Proposal Workshops.
They were:
“The {acquisition) strategy should be structured to make maximum use of compteition throughout the life of the program.”
“The intent of applying competiton is to achieve performance and schedule requirements, improve product quality and reliability, and reduce cost.”

Are there similar statements in the 2009 version?
If yes, where will they be found?
